“Kiss to Mt. Fuji” is a special green tea drinking cup. It is made to enjoy the smooth and slightly bitter flavor of green tea from the land of Fuji, Shizuoka prefecture. Place it on the palm of your hand and enjoy Mt. Fuji floating above the clouds. Mt. Fuji is registered as the World Cultural Heritage site. It is a sacred mountain and a source of courage for the people. The great mountain represents Japan. 

How to use the special cup

  • Place the miniature Mt. Fuji on the two protruding parts opposite to the lip of the cup. Place 1g of soft green tea leaves in the hollow part.  (Spread them on the bottom surface. That’s about 1g.) Then pour 10cc of hot water, about 6/10 of the cup. 
  • Observe how the young leaves open with slightly bitter flavorful aroma for about 30 seconds. 
  • Place the miniature Mt. Fuji into the hollow part of the cup slowly. Slightly press top of the mountain and sip the tea like kissing Mt. Fuji. 
  • You can enjoy the second cup by removing the mountain and pouring hot water to the same leaves about 6/10 of the cup. Insert the miniature Mt. Fuji to the hollow slowly again without waiting, and drink just like the first time. 
  • After the second cup, you can put the leaves on cookies like butter cookies to enjoy still the vivid natural bitterness among the sweet taste.
